HOW IT WORKS

Three steps, two minutes

STEP 01

Dial the number

From any phone, anywhere in the world. Toll-free in North America. Your phone number isn't stored — it's irreversibly hashed.

STEP 02

Pick a voice

At the beep, press a number to keep your own voice, shift the pitch, or step into a different voice entirely. Your cadence stays. Your identity doesn't.

STEP 03

Say it. Someone receives it.

Up to sixty seconds. Press # when you're done. After a brief review, your message goes up on the public archive. No likes, no replies, no algorithm. Just received.

USE CASES

People are using this for…

The Heavy Stuff

Things they've never said out loud. Letters to parents who are still alive. Confessions that would cost a relationship if signed.

(Yes, we cry too. Keep going.)

The Good Stuff

Thank-yous to strangers from buses. Apologies that took twenty years to land. Messages to the kid version of yourself who needed to hear them.

The Whistleblower Stuff

Things people can't say with their names attached. Workplaces. Institutions. Numbers that don't add up. Patterns somebody else needs to see.

The "I Need a Witness" Stuff

Things that nobody believes when you tell them privately. Things you want to put on the record. Things you want a stranger, somewhere, to hear.

REAL QUESTIONS

Three things people always ask

Wait — can you really not identify me?
Yes, really. When you call, your number is one-way hashed using a secret we keep in a separate system from the database. The hash lets us rate-limit spam without knowing who you are; the secret means even if our database were stolen tomorrow, your number couldn't be recovered. We do not have the ability to identify a caller. Not for advertisers, not for governments, not for ourselves.
What happens to my recording?
Your raw recording is encrypted and held for 90 days in case you need to retract it (you'll get a 6-digit code at the end of your call). The masked, public version stays on the archive indefinitely — that's the point. We don't sell recordings, license them for AI training, or share them with anyone. The archive is the product. Nothing else.
What stops people from saying terrible things?
Every message is transcribed and run through automated screening before it's published — for threats, doxxing, hate speech, and CSAM. Borderline cases go to a human reviewer. Anything that violates the rules never goes live, and the caller gets a notification (via callback) explaining why. Anonymity is not a license to harm. It's a license to be honest.
How can you call me back if you don't know my number?
Your number goes into a short-lived verification hash — separate from the archive hash, kept under a different secret. It lives only as long as our review of your message. That's the only window in which a callback can reach you.
When does that window close?
The moment the review resolves. If we approve, the hash is dropped and your message goes live. If we reject, we place one automated callback explaining why — then drop the hash. There's no ceiling because there's no reason to hold it past that. Your retraction code handles everything after publish.
Does the callback itself reveal my number?
No. It runs through the same one-way pipeline the inbound call used: Twilio holds the number, we hold a hash, the two are joined only inside Twilio's routing layer for the duration of the dial. What's left in the archive can't dial you.
