The service
PSA provides a public anonymous voicemail archive. You can call our number to leave a message, and browse or listen to messages on this website. Messages are reviewed by a human before they are published. Not everything submitted makes it into the archive. That's it.
We reserve the right to change, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time. We'd give you notice if we could, and we'd try to keep the archive accessible in some form if we ever shut down. No promises though — this is a public project, not a utility.
What you can leave
Anything you have the right to say: opinions, confessions, observations, criticism, creative work, personal stories, political speech, uncomfortable truths. Messages that are clearly yours to share. We built this for the things that need to be said but don't have an easy place to go. Say them.
What you can't leave
The following will not be published and may be reported to relevant authorities:
- Threats of violence against any person or group.
- Doxxing — personal identifying information about someone who hasn't consented to its publication: home address, workplace, daily routine, financial details, and similar.
- Hate speech designed to dehumanize people on the basis of race, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or national origin. Criticism of ideologies is not the same thing; we can tell the difference.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind. These will be reported to NCMEC and relevant law enforcement without exception, before any other process.
- Impersonation of a specific real person, presented as genuine — not satire, not performance, but a deliberate attempt to deceive listeners about who is speaking.
- Fabricated audio presented as evidence of a real crime.
If you're unsure whether something crosses a line, it probably doesn't. We're not looking for reasons to reject things. We're looking for reasons to publish them.
Content ownership
You own your message. By leaving it, you grant PSA a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to publish, display, and distribute it as part of the public archive. This license ends if you retract your message within 90 days of leaving it — use the retraction code you received after your call, or contact us.
After 90 days, the raw audio is permanently deleted regardless. A published message may stay in the archive after the 90-day window; contact us at hello@psa.xyz if you need it removed and we'll handle it case by case.
Moderation
Every message is reviewed by a human before it goes live. We make the final call on what gets published. We are not a common carrier — we are an editorial operation, and we exercise editorial judgment. Messages that violate these terms will not be published. If a submitted message is borderline, we may request a second review, but we don't offer formal appeals. Our decision is final.
We do not publish messages that are submitted in bad faith — mass-submitted duplicates, coordinated campaigns targeting a specific person, or messages designed to game the archive's credibility.
Liability
PSA is provided as-is. We don't guarantee uptime. We don't guarantee that published messages remain accessible indefinitely. We aren't responsible for how listeners interpret or act on what they hear.
We are not responsible for the content of messages left by callers — that responsibility lies with the person who left them. We review messages before publishing, but we are not a publisher in the legal sense that creates liability for third-party speech; we are a platform exercising moderation.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability to you for any claim arising from this service is limited to zero dollars.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Canadian law. Any disputes arising from your use of PSA will be resolved in Canadian courts. If you're outside Canada, you're still subject to these terms when you use the service.
Changes to these terms
We'll post any material changes here with an updated "last updated" date. If you continue using the service after changes are posted, that constitutes acceptance. We won't bury significant changes — if something major shifts, we'll say so clearly.
